doodleit is a daily doodling app. Your doodles are yours, and they stay on your phone.

Your doodles stay on your phone

Everything you doodle, your streak, your crayons and your settings are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else. Like other app data, they can be part of your own device backups (iCloud or computer), which Apple handles under its own privacy policy.

The home screen widget reads today's doodle from the app on the same device. Nothing leaves the phone for it.

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone. No server is involved.

Anonymous usage counts

To learn which parts of the app work, doodleit sends anonymous usage counts, such as "a doodle was saved" or "the intro was finished". We use TelemetryDeck for this. These counts:

• never include your doodles, their pictures or anything you type into a doodle;
• are not linked to your name, email, Apple ID or any other identity;
• are not used for advertising or tracking across apps and websites.

TelemetryDeck receives an anonymous identifier made from a one-way hash, so we cannot tell who you are. See TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.

You can turn this off at any time: Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage. When it is off, the app stops sending usage counts at once.

Feedback you choose to send

If you write feedback in the app or answer the short beta survey, the text you typed and your answer are sent to us when you tap Send, together with the app version. They are sent even when usage counts are off, because you asked for it. Please don't include personal details you don't want us to read.

If you use TestFlight's own feedback (screenshots and comments), Apple delivers it to us under Apple's privacy policy.

What we don't do

• No accounts and no sign-in.
• No ads and no tracking.
• No selling or sharing of data.
• No access to your contacts, photos, location or microphone.

Children

doodleit is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app deletes your doodles and everything else it stored on your phone. Anonymous usage counts cannot be traced back to you, so there is nothing personal we could find or delete. To ask about feedback you sent, write to us.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
